Harrow HK Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
During my Y12 and Y13 years, I investigated how blending Tai Chi into contemporary pop dance could amplify accessibility and magnify the health advantages of both art forms. This involved interviewing a Chinese medicine expert, delving into online resources, and engaging with pertinent podcasts.
HSBC Summer Submit
In my summer to Y11, I joined HSBC Premier Academy's Summer Summit. It is a summer programme teaching digital competency, problem-solving & creative thinking. I was selected as one of the 36 students to learn about the future of technology. I led a team of X to create and present our proposal on technology development. On the closing ceremony, I was chosen and delivered a speech to more than 150 people on benefits and drawbacks of technology.
Internship at Centre for Novostics
In my summer to Y13, I worked under scientist Dr. Dennis Lo at Novostics. Dr Lo's researches focused on molecular diagnostics. During my internship, I assisted in research on non-invasive prenatal testing for fetal chromosomal aneuploidies, and gained hands-on laboratory experience in DNA extraction, sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis.
